Scholarship Opportunities

Fruition Horticulture (BOP) Ltd offers two scholarships for learners studying towards the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production or the micro-credentials associated with the Diploma. There are also a range of organsiations within the horticulture sector that offer scholarships to students undertaking study, with the aim to support innovation and critical thinking which is crucial to the horticulture industry’s future success. We recommend you scan through all available scholarships and apply for any that you are eligible for.

Fruition Scholarship (Māori Learners)

Aim

The aim of the Fruition Scholarship (Māori Learners) is to support two learners of Māori descent access education at a tertiary level. The scholarship is valued at $5000, plus access to Fruition staff to mentor successful applicants on their learning journey.

Requirements

The scholarship is only available to students enrolling in the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6).

To apply for the scholarship you must:

  • Be nominated by your Iwi or Hāpū.
  • Meet the entry requirements of the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6). See the following page for entry requirements: Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6)
  • Be offered a place in the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6).
  • Successfully enrol in the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6) before the 3rd week of the current course.

The scholarship is drawn down in three equal parts over the year, based on the successful completion of the previous course.

Apply

To apply for the Fruition Scholarship (Māori Learners), please fill out the Fruition Scholarship Application Form.

Applications will be considered by the Fruition Horticulture Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application. The decision of the Scholarship Committee will be final.

Fruition Scholarship (Partner Organisations)

Aim

The Fruition Scholarship (Partner Organisations) is awarded to employees of our scholarship partner organisations to further their knowledge and career by undertaking horticulture specific study through Fruition Horticulture (BOP) Ltd.

Requirements

This scholarship is available to students enrolling in the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6) or a Fruition Horticulture Micro-credential.

To apply for the scholarship you must:

  • Be currently employed by one of our scholarship partner organisations.
  • Have the support of your manager to apply.
  • Meet the entry requirements of the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6). See the following page for entry requirements: Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6).
  • Be offered a place in the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6) or a Fruition Horticulture Micro-credential.
  • Successfully enrol in the Fruition Diploma in Horticulture Production (Level 6) or a Fruition Horticulture Micro-credential before the 3rd week of the current course.
